The Location The hospital is located a few hours South of Adelaide in the major service centre for the region and is a thriving progressive community with a local population of over 25,000. The Facility The facility delivers services to over 94,000 people and a further 175,000 people annually at country emergency departments. The Service is the largest hospital in rural South Australia and has been identified in the Government's 'Plan for Country Health' as one of the four general hospitals which will provide treatment for country people closer to home.
The Requirements
MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
Staff Specialists: Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Palliative Medicine with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA).
Extensive clinical experience with appropriate knowledge and skills extending across the range of Palliative Care services.
Commitment to the principles of quality in health care including participation in quality improvement programs relevant to Palliative Medicine.
