About the role

The purpose of this role is to provide expert research advice and leadership to support and advance research capacity, capability and services for Nursing and Midwifery staff across the RBWH.

This role works collaboratively with the RBWH Nursing and Midwifery Executive Council Executive team and consults with Director Nursing and Midwifery Services RBWH in the planning of priority research and health services research activities to promote the NM research agenda and to promote interprofessional and higher education sector research partnerships.

The role is also responsible for leading Nursing and Midwifery and Health Service research activities and implementing research outcomes across RBWH and for developing, implementing and monitoring the relevant RBWH NM research strategy aligned to the relevant Metro North Hospital and Health Service (Metro North Health) Research Strategy in collaboration with the ED Research, Metro North Health, and others.
