Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south to Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include: 

  • Provide expert advice on technical and operational issues including the interpretation of relevant legislation and policies, on private practice matters to medical officers with Granted Private Practice and senior management, ensuring that all required records are maintained.
  • Provide expert advice and be a key resource to SCHHS medical staff with private practice arrangements, including advising on medical billing practices, financial management practices, policies and guidelines to ensure compliance with both the National Health Agreement and Medicare legislation.
  • Establish, implement, monitor and review financial and information systems that support business service continuity and growth.
  • Support the monthly calculation of over-award payments for radiology/retention doctors.

Remuneration value up to $127 235 p.a., comprising salary between $102 496 - $111 516 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO5).
