An exciting opportunity exists for a Radiographer Clinical Manager to deliver specialist Radiography Medical Imaging services as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health, in accordance with the goals, policies and requirements of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS).

The position is accountable for the delivery of specialist Radiography, Fluoroscopy and Mammography  services, the management and professional competence of staff, whilst providing an advanced leadership role in the multidisciplinary team.  The Medical Imaging Service provides a comprehensive Medical Imaging, Nuclear Medicine and Interventional Radiology service. The Medical Imaging Service operates a one service/multi-campus model with the Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) being the major imaging service. The position is both clinical and managerial and requires a specialised level of clinical knowledge, skills, problem solving abilities and expertise in the Radiography modality within a medical imaging service at Health Service level.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage the quality of clinical practice within the specific medical imaging areas and play an active leadership role which contributes to the professional competence of the medical imaging team.
  • Provide authoritative counsel to relevant stakeholders on matters falling within area of professional knowledge, expertise and responsibility of the position.
  • Collaborate with senior management to ensure effective cooperation within and across work unit/s to enhance service delivery, quality outcomes and/or patient services.
  • Lead the development of high-level service improvement initiatives eg imaging equipment acquisition processes within the specific area to ensure the provision of quality clinical services to clients and stakeholders

Remuneration value up to $13 965 p.m., comprising salary between $5395.60 - $5413.50 p.f. (f/t) or salary rates: $70.99 - $74.07 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP5) (temporary full or part time position available).
