Remuneration package of up to $70,730 p.a., comprising base salary range of $34.88-$37.01 p.h., (+ any applicable allowances/benefits) (Nurse Grade 3), recreational leave loading (17.5%), and employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%).

About the role
This position provides direct nursing care utilising clinical skills under the delegation and supervision of a Registered Nurse utilising education and support, encompassing purposeful evidenced based practice interventions to consumers, recognising safety of all.  

The philosophy of Secure Mental Health Rehabilitation unit (SMHRU) is to provide effective mental health care in a safe and secure environment, achieving a balance between society's expectations of safety and the consumers' right to least restrictive treatment option.  The SMHRU has accommodation for 25 consumers and provides a secure, structured environment for rehabilitation.

Role requirements

  • Diploma of Nursing or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
  • Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
