The Role

An opportunity has become available for an Occupational Therapist (Head to Health Kids) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Provide an efficient and responsive mental health Occupational Therapy service within identified models of care across multiple clinical areas
• Apply professional judgement to facilitate effective clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence across multiple clinical areas
• Utilise knowledge of Occupational theories and frameworks in understanding the occupational and functional impact of mental health and wellbeing for children under 12 years and their families
• As experience builds, apply increasingly independent clinical judgement to more complex clinical decision making under the practice supervision or professional guidance of a more senior clinician

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy
• AHPRA Registration
• Driver Licence
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

• Permanent full time
• Base salary ranging from $76 747 - $112 805 per annum

Health Kids-Queensland Gold Coast (H2HK-Q Gold Coast) is a multi-disciplinary, multi-specialty service within the Gold Coast Child and Youth Mental Health Services that delivers child centred and family focused services driven by a strength focused culture in line with the Whole Child Approach. H2HK-Q Gold Coast will provide a seamless service for children under 12 years experiencing mental health and wellbeing difficulties that effectively integrates primary, secondary, and tertiary services by working in partnership across all sectors.
