About you:

In your new role you will…

• Demonstrate high level of knowledge, expertise and skill in the areas of general, emergency, mobile and theatre radiography and CT.
• Demonstrate ability to provide high level clinical advice to professional and operational supervisor regarding service delivery and improvement opportunities.
• Demonstrate ability to initiate, plan and evaluate local service improvement initiatives and provide clinical supervision to junior personnel.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will work on a permanent basis as a HP4 Shift Radiographer within the medical imaging facilities of the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service. Participating in a 24hr (continuous) shift rotating roster you will deliver a high standard of general, emergency, mobile and theatre radiography. You will also provide high level CT services and assist in the mentoring and training of junior staff, graduates and students. Operationally and professionally, you will report to the Director of Medical Imaging and clinically through modality Section Leaders.

About your role:

• Deliver high level medical imaging clinical services in general, emergency, mobile and theatre radiography within a multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver high level radiography services in CT.
• Deliver high level radiography services in other modalities as appropriate.
• Undertake high level medical imaging duties in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, and with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision.
• Apply professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
