Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

The role will work closely with diverse stakeholders, including clinical staff, directors, and other government departments, providing high-level strategic and authoritative advice, representing the organisation in state-wide health policy development activities, and leading projects and change management processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Mental Health and Specialised Services. The role will strategically lead and support the ongoing development of Mental Health and Specialised Services as a safe, high-quality service that is innovative, accountable, efficient, and effective at both a local and state-wide level.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to the Sunshine Coast Mental Health Specialised Services strategic management processes as a member of the Service Leadership Team and represent Sunshine Coast Mental Health Service in state-wide health policy development activities as required.
  • Provide high-level advice to and representation of the Service Director, Mental Health and Specialised Services with respect to strategic direction and the navigation of high-level change, key challenges and opportunities, policy, performance and planning for Mental Health and Specialised Services. This will be cognisant of national, state, and local agendas.
  • Actively engage in state-wide agendas, partnerships, and negotiations at a senior leadership level in order to align the performance and development of Sunshine Coast Mental Health and Specialised Services.

Remuneration value up to $183,015 p.a., comprising salary between $153,756- $160,170 p.a. (f/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (DS02) (Permanent full time, 76 hrs p.f.). Applications will remain current for 12 months.
