About you:

In your new role you will…

  • Demonstrate high level of knowledge, expertise and skill in the areas of Breast Imaging.
  • Demonstrate ability to provide high level clinical advice to professional and operational supervisor regarding service delivery and improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide breast imaging and other clinical services of a complex nature, where established principles, procedures and methods require some expansion, adaptation or modification.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will provide mammography screening and assessment services for the BreastScreen Queensland Cairns Service throughout the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service districts, and various other communities as determined by the BreastScreen Australia National Accreditation Standards. Ensuring a high standard of service to all clients, effective service delivery and the achievement of performance indicator targets.

About your role:

  • Deliver a high-level breast imaging clinical service within a multidisciplinary team, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
  • Apply independent professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence, with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision.
  • Ensure patient care issues are managed, including liaison with other clinicians, clinical departments and external providers and patient related incidents are reported and documented according to hospital procedures.
