The Organisation
You will be working in a 200-bed community hospital located in the rapidly growing western suburbs of Melbourne. The organisation employs over 8500 people who provide compassionate and holistic care through various services.
The Emergency Department and Short Stay Unit provides care to over 50,000 patients annually. The community is culturally diverse with one in two families, include a member born overseas.
Services include surgical, medical, maternity, newborn, renal dialysis, emergency, intensive care, mental health, rehabilitation and palliative care. The hospital has recently undergone significant expansion with the opening of our new Intensive Care Unit, additional operating theatres and two new wards.
The Job
  • Joining this team you will work in a collaborative, highly-motivated, and supportive multidisciplinary team of Doctors, Nurses, Allied Health and Clerical Staff. The primary focus is delivering exceptional and timely patient-centred care.
  • The Department is ACEM accredited for 24 months of advanced training and welcomes applications from Australian and overseas graduates.
  • You will be collaborate across specialties in multiple departments to provide the best outcomes for patients.
  • As a major public hospital servicing the community of Western Suburbs of Melbourne, with a multi-million-dollar Emergency Department expansion on the way, there are multiple opportunities for full and part time Emergency Medicine Specialists
  • Successful applicants will be expected to be able to provide high quality clinical care operating autonomously

Requirements
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalent.
  • SIMG’s must have completed the ACEM specialist assessment to apply
