Speech Pathologist

Speech Pathologist - 12 month contract. Part time 25 hrs per week (Negotiable)

Are you an enthusiastic Speech Pathologist looking to join a dynamic hospital Allied Health team? The successful applicant will have the opportunity to experience a varied clinical adult caseload.

As a Speech Pathologist your responsibilities will include:

  • Swallow and language a ssessment and treatment of an adult caseload
  • Provision of speech therapy services to patients across Medical, Surgical, Rehabilitation, CCU wards and Day Therapy departments
  • Conduct and report VFSS in conjunction with on-site QLD X-ray staff
  • Education of patients, family and their carers on suitable food/fluid consistencies in line with IDDSI Standards
  • Be a part of the valued multidisciplinary team to provide wholistic patient centred care
  • Support from a diverse range of the Allied Health team

It is situated approximately 13 kilometers south of the Brisbane CBD and is the first Private Hospital north of the Gold Coast

Selection Criteria:

  • A degree in Speech Pathology
  • Previous hospital experience
  • Membership to Speech Pathology Australia
  • Video fluoroscopy and tracheostomy management experience (desired)
  • Exceptional time management and communication skills
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to professional development
