The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Lead Data Engineer to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Provide authoritative, expert and timely advice to the Director Data Operations, executive and senior management, line managers, other government agencies and external stakeholder group
  • Lead a team of data experts in the delivery of quality data services in an agile environment
  • Develop a professional, competent and collaborative team that responds to stakeholders needs and is committed to client service through:
  • Drive standards, design processes and uplift team technical capability to ensure the efficiency and assure the quality of data services

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • Experience and proficiency in the Microsoft Structured Query Language Server suite of products including Integration Services, Management Studio and Transact SQL is mandatory
  • While not mandatory a relevant tertiary qualification is highly regarded
  • While not mandatory understanding of health data and Queensland Health information systems is highly regarded
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Permanent full time
  • Base salary ranging from $146 510 - $155 025 per annum
