Professional and personal qualities TCHHS are looking for;

  • Demonstrated skill in trauma management, general and emergency medicine.
  • Demonstrated ability in Chronic Disease management, specifically in chronic kidney disease and associated co-morbidities.
  • Ability to function in a multidisciplinary team and to provide clinical leadership within the team.
  • Demonstrated ability in addressing the challenges of rural and remote medicine and the care of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population.

Requirements for the role:

  • Hold a Rural Generalist advanced skill of Adult Internal Medicine
    • Candidates who have completed an AST/ARST in Adult Internal Medicine and are currently completing a FACRRM or FRACGP as part of the Australian General Practice Training Program may be considered for employment as a Provisional SMO.
  • Hold registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medial Board of Australia.
