The Senior Storeperson will perform functions associated with running all areas of the warehouse IE, receipt, handling, storage, bar code scanning, picking, packing, despatch, manufacture of supplies and equipment in accordance with current standard operating procedures and Guidelines.

About Supply Chain Surety Branch:

Supply Chain Surety is a branch in Corporate Services Division (CSD) supporting the supply of clinical goods, pharmaceuticals and linen products to the Hospital and Health Services (HHS), Queensland Health. The branch is comprised of functions critical to Queensland Health's supply response, including Supply Chain Services, Central Pharmacy, Group Linen Services and Operations. This branch brings together an end-to-end supply chain function from demand planning through to warehousing and distribution into a single integrated branch led by the Executive Director.  The Branch supports clients and stakeholders across the Department of Health, all Hospital and Health Services, Queensland Government and some external agencies.

What we are looking for:

• Understanding of or the ability to acquire knowledge of warehouse operations and pharmaceutical terminology within a manufacturing and wholesale distribution environment at a supervisor level in each designated area.
• Ability to work in and efficient and accurate manner with a degree of independence and within established guidelines.
• Follow written and oral instructions from Senior Supervisors/Managers, communicate effectively with staff in designated areas and perform cohesively as a leader of a team.
• Knowledge of, or ability to learn the use of computerised warehouse management systems, as well as other warehouse technology applications.
