Muirton is an older adult acute admission assessment ward for the patient group with dementia type illnesses. The ward requires a keen and motivated nurse to maintain high standards and applicants should demonstrate awareness and be willing to adapt to the ever changing needs of the Moray Older Adult Psychiatry service.

Previous experience of working in acute admission or with the elderly would be advantageous but is not a requirement. Good communication skills and the ability to work flexibly and harmoniously in a multidisciplinary team is an essential requirement.

Support and encouragement will be given to meet mandatory and other essential training requirements for the job.

Post is rotational working a flexible 12 hour shift system to maintain continuity and meet the needs of the service.

The hours available are on a part-time basis to allow applicants to secure a positive work life balance.
