We are looking for an exceptional Medical Practitioner to join our Hospital in the Home (HITH) team at Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

The Senior Medical Officer (HITH) provides leadership in virtual healthcare that is innovative and aimed at achieving demonstrable improvement in patient outcomes. This role also requires the management of a virtual health portfolio and supervision / teaching of the HITH and Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health (SCHHS) Resident Medical Officer workforce. 

SCHHS Salary includes:

• Base salary comprising of between
  • $84.71 - $124.05 p.h.
• Motor vehicle allowance (pro rata for Part-time)
  • L13 - L24 $21,000 p.a.
  • L25 - L27 $25,500 p.a.
• Attraction and Retention Allowance up to 50% of base salary
• Professional development allowance $21,500 p.a. (pro rata for Part-time)

The Hospital in the Home service is based at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) and is responsible for providing a high quality and acuity virtual health service across the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS). This includes utilisation of various digital health tools that augment the virtual health service. Our service is not an exclusive COVID centric model, and accepts patients from numerous sources, including inter-HHS, general practitioners and nurse navigators. This results in a broad variation in case-mix and unique scenarios. 

Our service is one of the few in Australia that offers training within virtual health care, making this an extremely rare and unique experience.
