The role 

Reporting to the Director, Operational Commissioning, you will provide high level advice, support and services to ensure successful delivery of the operational commissioning activities. You will advise the HHS Operational Commissioning lead on service readiness deliverables for designated clinical and support services, ensuring a safe and effective transition to new/refurbished facilities. This will include facilitating and contributing to the portfolios through, implementing frameworks, engaging with statewide stakeholders, developing operational briefs and reports, supporting commissioning activities and working collaboratively with relevant teams to ensure preparedness of service areas to commence service delivery. This position will work closely with the HHS to understand and analyse Operational Commissioning budgets through reviewing project cost reports and identifying challenges and risks regarding the budget. It will be essential to undertake project management activities by developing service readiness plans, formal project plans, records and registers (including lessons learned, risk & issues registers). Finally, you will foster and encourage a positive workplace environment that is outcome focused and continuously seeks improvement through effective communication and training.

The successful person

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in supporting Operational Commissioning activities to support a health facility Go Live. You will have the ability to lead Operational Commissioning planning and change management initiatives to support the delivery of multiple projects across the health service. A sound knowledge and understanding of the Operational Commissioning Framework and Infrastructure Delivery Cycle will be required as well as strong communication skills to consult with clients and achieve outcomes that are mutually beneficial to the client and the project. The successful candidate will require project management skills including the ability to prepare quality project documentation and engage with stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered within time and budget constraints. Working on multiple concurrent projects in an operational health service environment will require strong multitasking ability, being able to identifying priority activities and escalate issues appropriately. Although not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded with the ability to travel to different locations depending on project and team requirements.
