The Role:
You will play an effective and active role in the Geriatric process and discharge planning of patients resulting in best possible outcome for the patient and their families.
This position is a fixed-term full time role with a cessation date of 2 February 2025.

The Hospital:
This is a major specialist referral centre for the Barwon South West sub-region, and provides a comprehensive range of acute, sub-acute, specialist, community, mental health and aged services.
With a population of 39,000 and a catchment of 100,000 Warrnambool is the regional centre to Victoria's Great South Coast.

The Location:
The client is based in a beautiful rural area, only an hour’s flight to both Melbourne and Adelaide from their local airport. You will have the best of both worlds in this region – with beautiful parks and gardens and easy access to beaches. The climate is lovely, with mild winters, and summers that are warm and pleasant. The area has 15+ public and private schools for all ages.

The Requirements:

• Candidates must hold registration with AHPRA and have at least 12 months recent experience working within General Medicine
• Meets requirements for Advanced Physician Training in Geriatric Medicine.
• IMG's eligible for Competent Authority Pathway - UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ
• IMG's assessed by RACP and found to be substantially or partially comparable.
