The Acute Clinical Health Psychology Service is seeking a Band 8b Practitioner Psychologist with experience in clinical health settings to contribute to specialised psychology services in secondary care physical health services within NHS Grampian in the following areas. 

•    Provision of psychological care and support to staff in a wide range of services across Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in collaboration with psychology colleagues, and•    Provision of psychological care to patients, families and staff within Critical Care, including follow up care. 

The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for delivery and audit of the psychology services to include routine assessment, individual and group interventions, supervision, consultation and training.  They will have considerable autonomy and flexibility in developing, coordinating and delivering a range of individual, group and team interventions in the above areas, with the support of the Consultant Clinical Psychologist. They will also contribute to service development, quality improvement and research, as well as supervision of junior colleagues.

Experience of working collaboratively with other professional groups, supervising other psychology colleagues and enabling colleagues' growth and development is essential.  Evidence of involvement in service development, published research and service audit would be desirable. This post is a permanent post.  Although the hours for the post are 26.25 hours per week, we would consider the possibility of splitting the hours between suitable candidates.  

An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates.
