About the role
The position operationally and professionally line manages the Surgery and ICU Social Work team at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH). This team services the surgical streams, intensive care unit, burns unit and multiple other specialist streams. The position also undertakes a clinical caseload within the team. Psychosocial complexity occurring in this role includes complex discharge planning, crisis intervention, sudden death and traumatic injuries, domestic and family violence, child protection and homelessness. Knowledge and experience working with these psychosocial complexities is highly desirable.
The Social Work Team Leader position is part of the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital Social Work senior management team which takes responsibility for the management and strategic planning of departmental core business.
