About you:

In your new role you will…

• Demonstrate ability to provide high quality general practitioner oral health treatment to all age groups of patients.
• Display proven ability to be able to work in a team and to participate as a member of an oral health team and a multidisciplinary health team.
• Demonstrate ability to effectively manage the allocated resources and operations of a dental facility/area to ensure achievement of service agreement targets and other stated goals of the organisation.
• Knowledge of or an ability to acquire knowledge of procedures, policies, regulations and standards which impact upon the position, in particular Public Sector Guidelines, and a knowledge of contemporary human resource management issues such as workplace health and safety, equal opportunity, and anti-discrimination.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will provide general practitioner services and oral health care for eligible patients, both adult and child, within the delivery system for public sector oral health care in Queensland.

About your role:

• Provide high quality general practitioner oral health services to both adult and paediatric patients in fixed and mobile facilities located in hospital, community and school environments.
• Provide leadership and direction of personnel working within your oral health team. Also maintain and apply effective interpersonal skills to facilitate the provision of a friendly, caring environment for the treatment of patients/clients.
• Facilitate education and professional development of members of the oral health team.
• Support and participate in clinical and oral health promotion initiatives that focus on the prevention of dental disease for individuals and the target population.
