Role responsibilities  

  • Provide administration support to the unit through the preparation, review and submission of documentation, including staff travel requests and routine journals. 
  • Preparation of accurate and timely financial documentation for accounts payable and receivable operations including staff expense claims, relevant financial registers and invoice requests.
  • Maintain effective office records management processes of confidential documentation (including but not limited to financial management documentation).
  • Extract and distribute and coordinate routine monthly financial reports to cost centre managers and prepare ad hoc DSS reports as required.
  • Access and efficiently use a wide range of hospital-based computer systems including S4Hana and applications to produce work of a high standard.
  • Provide general administrative support as directed by the Senior Business Support officer and Service Group Management Team to contribute to the efficient operation of the Service Group.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, review and maintenance of internal systems, processes and work practices.  Identify and report areas for improvement to existing practices.

Employment Term

  • Permanent full-time

Generous remuneration package value up to $94,810 p.a.comprising:

  • Salary rates between $2864.10 - $3185.10 p.f. (AO3)
  • Annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution

The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:

  • Knowledge of policies and practices relating to finance and records management.
  • Advanced skills in a range of system applications to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of high-level administrative support, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Decision Support Systems.
  • Proven high level administration and organisational skills and initiative with the ability to prioritise and perform tasks, functions and responsibilities efficiently and with attention to detail.
  • Highly developed communication skills with the capacity to exercise successful consultative, interpersonal and negotiation skills with all levels of staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess situations and resolve issues promptly.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and within a team, anticipating needs to pre-empt issues
