The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Dietitian – Senior (Emergency) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Manage workload to deliver high level nutrition and dietetic services within the Gold Coast Hospital Service
  • Undertake high level nutrition and dietetic duties as the Dietitian - Senior Emergency, with a high degree of independence within the work unit
  • Apply professional judgement to complex caseloads adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence/guidelines
  • Contribute to clinical research activities within the area of nutrition and dietetics with demonstrated outcomes

About you

To be successful in this position you will required

  • A tertiary degree (or equivalent) in Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognised tertiary institution
  • Be eligible for membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia and Accredited Practicing Dietitian
  • Blue Card
  • Available to work Monday through Friday and take part in the weekend and on call rosters
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Temporary part time (up to 26/07/25, with possibility of extension, 60.8 hrs p.f.).
  • Base salary ranging from $62.75 - $67.53 per hour
