The Role

An opportunity has become available for several Pharmacist's to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Work under general supervision, becoming more independent in exercising professional judgement, resolving problems and developing specialisations
• Develop higher level skills and expertise achieved through experience, professional development, post graduate education and certification within the ClinCAT framework
• Independently apply professional knowledge and skills to deliver basic clinical pharmacy services
• With increasing experience, resolve complex issues utilising evidence based medicine and well developed clinical knowledge under the professional guidance of a senior clinician

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• A tertiary degree in Pharmacy from a recognised tertiary institution
• AHPRA Registration
• To participate in on-call duties and work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

• Temporary full time and temporary part time (up to six months, with possibility of extension, several positions, hrs negotiable)
• Base salary ranging from $2 941.70 - $4 323.80 per fortnight or $38.70 - $56.89 per hour

About Us

The Pharmacy Service provides medication management services across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service, 7 days a week. Our team of approximately 120 pharmacists are assisted in their roles by over 50 support persons comprising pharmacy assistants, administration officers, purchasing and stores personnel.
