The role  
WSB manages several key strategies outlined in the Advancing Health Service delivery through workforce: A strategy for Queensland 2017-2026 including the Workforce Mapping, Analysis, Planning, Projections (WorkMAPP or WM) program which enables our workforce to perform large and complex workforce planning activities using the WM Software.

The WM program aims to provide a unified, effective, and efficient workforce management and planning tool, supported by a consistent workforce planning methodology across Queensland Health (QH).

The purpose of this role is to
•    Effectively manage, process, and coordinate communications and media priorities related to the support of the WorkMAPP software.
•    Provide advice and guidance in response to Department of Health (DOH) and Hospital and Health Services (HHS) enquires related to the functions or use of the WorkMAPP software.
•    Assist with developing and preparation of objectives, guidelines, and policies for a diverse range of project leads across multiple DOH and HHS sites.
•    Assist in the administration of the WorkMAPP software for HHS sites and WorkMAPP users and provide updates on software development and general user advice.

The successful person
The essential requirements for this role are:
•    Ability to successfully apply a project management approach to prioritise support requests.
•    Highly developed skills in using Outlook and MS applications such as Excel, Word, Project, Teams, and Stream.
•    Knowledge of the WorkMAPP software or the ability to acquire rapidly through education.
•    Knowledge of contemporary training techniques and online mediums and the ability to apply them to meet the needs of end users.
•    Liaison and communication skills and the ability to negotiate positive outcomes and establish effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
•    Knowledge of and ability to apply policy, legislation, standards, guidelines, and frameworks relevant to workforce planning and policy, and the ability to rapidly acquire specific knowledge relevant to the health workforce and WorkMAPP system.
