The Position
Join an exceptional team for a two-year advanced training program in Geriatric Medicine. Gain experience in various areas such as inpatient and outpatient geriatric medicine, orthogeriatric medicine, and community geriatric medicine. You will manage patient care under the guidance of Registrars, Consultants, Nurses, and Allied Health professionals, ensuring high standards of care. Additionally, you will participate in quality improvement, education activities, and the department's CME, research, and teaching program. Ideal candidates are team players with strong communication and negotiation skills, capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The Facility
One of South Australia's leading acute referral, teaching, and research centres. A $314 million redevelopment is currently advanced the hospital, which will see state-of-the-art general rehabilitation inpatient facilities at this campus, complementing existing day rehabilitation facilities, already home to a 20-bed inpatient psychogeriatric medicine unit.  

The Requirements
  • Registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) as a Medical Practitioner.
  • Bachelor of Medicine or equivalent
  • Appropriate post-graduate experience
  • Have proven skills in problem-solving and decision-making at both the clinical and the individual levels.
  • Able to work under pressure without compromising patient care
  • Possess high-level skills in negotiation and communication
  • Function effectively within a fast-paced environment
