Consultant Paediatric Endocrinologist
Online applications are invited for a 0.8 WTE Consultant Paediatric Endocrinologist at Southampton Children’s Hospital. We are seeking a colleague who can add value to a supportive and dynamic team to further advance Southampton tertiary paediatric endocrine services.
About the service
The service provides comprehensive tertiary paediatric endocrine care for the local population of Southampton, the Wessex region and further afield, covering a population of around 4 million. All major tertiary paediatric specialities are co-located at Southampton Children’s Hospital. The trust is a major teaching centre for the University of Southampton. There is a well-developed multi-disciplinary team. Specialty clinics are provided for DSD, genetics, young adult service, complex obesity and rare bone disorders. As part of our commitment to provide specialist support at a regional level, the roles of this post will include providing specialist endocrine care to support other consultants and healthcare professionals at hospital sites across the Wessex Paediatric Endocrine Network.

Getting to Work
Application can be made for parking on site at UHS or through one of the park and ride schemes. This will be based on specific criteria to determine eligibility for site parking as this can be very limited. UHS encourages staff to utilise other green methods of getting to work such as cycling or walking where possible. UHS is well connected through bus services to the city centre and other areas.
