About the role
The Director Operations is a key role in the Operations team and will provide advice and support to the Senior Director, Operations, and HCD in process improvement and operational initiative implementation. Stakeholder engagement is key, with the Director having to maintain a contact point with other HCD teams, stakeholders including, other DOH divisions and agencies. The owner of the role must love engaging with people on all levels and developing first class process improvements, supported by effective change management.

With a strong background in working with Executive Management, business improvement and change management, you will primarily develop and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders as well as developing and implementing process and system standardisation to support HCD and the health system. Reporting to the Senior Director, Operations, you will support the Executive in managing branch operations in relation to all aspects of business improvement opportunities. As the Director, Operations, you may be required to review and create briefings and other executive reporting and communications.

The successful person
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate their experience in providing support via sensitive, confidential and complex work to Executive Management and experience in leading and managing business improvement initiatives within a de-centralised business model for operational areas. Prior experience with best practice Change Management processes is highly regarded and to excel in this role, you will bring your strong analytical, negotiation and influencing skills, communication, writing and reviewing of briefings and most importantly a natural ability to lead, coach, inspire and drive a team of diverse functions and employees.
