About us:

The Cancer Inpatient Unit (CIPU) is an eleven-bed unit, located on level 5 New Wing Block, Rockhampton Hospital. The unit is part of Cancer Care Services model of care. Cancer Care consists of care provision by Medical Oncology, Haematology, Radiation Oncology, and Specialist Palliative Care. provides specialist care for patients.

About the role:

The Clinical Facilitator (CF) provides an early leadership role within the career pathway for nursing within Central Queensland (CQ) Health. The CF actively engages in the development of a learning culture within the clinical unit and models evidence-based practice at an advanced level relevant to Cancer and Palliative Care nursing.

The CF follows defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe, practice and services and workplaces.

The CF provides leadership and contribute to the development of clinical practice by:

  • Planning, developing, facilitating, and evaluating evidence based clinical education.
  • Actively engaging in quality activity and research projects and enabling a research culture.
  • Modelling active engagement in professional partnerships/networks across the education/research continuum.

What we offer:

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $65,949 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
