About the role
Reporting to the Director, Sustaining Capitol the role of Principal Project Officer will support the delivery of quality health services in Queensland by helping to ensure Queensland Health has the appropriate funds to support the capital replacement and renewal programs and the policies that govern capital funding. This role requires you to work with limited supervision in a specialist team and to liaise with and build productive relationships with stakeholders across the Department and Hospital and Health Services.

The successful person
To be successful in the role, you will need demonstrated:
•    communication, interpersonal, consultation, partnership, and negotiation skills to create a strong client focus and achieve outcomes.
•    knowledge of and experience in health facility planning and design, and associated business case development processes, contemporary governance mechanisms including policy, and a working knowledge of health care systems and service providers. 
•    project management, strategic, conceptual, and analytical and innovative skills relevant to health infrastructure.
•    skills and experience in proactively monitoring trends, identifying, and analysing problems, developing and implementing remedial strategies and exercising initiative and responsibility.
