The Role

An opportunity has become available for several Dental Technicians – Senior to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Ability to deliver professional technical dental services in accordance with the professional standards, guidelines and work unit procedures
  • This role has a technical focus that may also include research and will be expected to perform a range of duties mostly of a routine nature
  • Ability to manage own workloads, undertaking routine duties largely independently and by exercising sound levels of professional technical judgement in decision-making
  • Demonstrated high levels of knowledge and skills in the application of conventional methods and techniques associated with dental technology

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • A qualification in Dental Technology is a requirement for this role
  • While not mandatory, a relevant qualification and/or experience in Digital Dental Technology would be well regarded
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Temporary full time and temporary part time (up to five months, with possibility of extension, several positions, hours negotiable)
  • Base salary ranging from $2 941.70 - $4 323.80 per fortnight or $38.70 - $56.89 per hour
