The role  
The Queensland Government is proud of the progress it is making to support the rights of women and girls. This includes the Queensland Women and Girls' Health Strategy released in March 2024, which will invest almost $250 million in new funding over five years to drive system reform, address system inequities and enable our women and girls to fully participate in social, cultural and economic activities. 

This role is part of a broader departmental team to support the implementation and evaluation of the Queensland Women and Girls' Health Strategy.

You will play a pivotal role in leading and managing teams to support the development, coordination and implementation of state-wide initiatives focused on improving state-wide equity and quality of healthcare services and healthcare outcomes.   Leading a team of five, you will be at the forefront of direct and indirect relationships where you will engage with clinicians, consumers, senior executives and various stakeholders across government agencies. 

The successful person
Success in this position necessitates a proven record of accomplishment of providing strategic advice and support within the healthcare environment, coupled with adept management and supervisory capabilities to lead project teams effectively. 

Additionally, a profound understanding of Hospital and Health Services operations at a strategic level is essential, along with the capacity to manage stakeholder engagement activities adeptly and respond promptly to service expectations.
