  • Base salary ranges between $4769.60 - $5132.40 p.f. (HP4).

Rural and Remote incentive: Category B allowance of $231.94 p.f.

About the role

The Mount Isa Hospital Pharmacy Department provides medicines management services for inpatients, outpatients and day admitted patients of the North West Hospital and Health Service, including at facilities located off-site.

Working as a member of a multidisciplinary team, deliver high level clinical pharmacy services within the Cancer Care Unit and Renal Dialysis Unit of the Mount Isa Hospital and any affiliated outreach sites.

Responsible for practice and service development, innovation and activities that improve the clinical management, services and capability of the multidisciplinary Pharmacy team to provide competent and safe care that meets or exceeds professional practice standards within the specialty of Pharmacy for the North West Hospital and Health Service.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in Cancer Care and/or a post-graduate qualification in pharmacy is desirable.
  • Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist.
  • Participation in the on-call and weekend roster is required.
  • This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, Tuberculosis and COVID-19.
