The Location: The hospital sits on the picturesque Queensland coast, blessed with over 300 days of sunshine annually, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. Notable attractions include Riverbank Parklands, offering riverfront charm, and the expansive coastal strip, along with nearby islands, predominantly designated as national parklands.
The Facility: With a local population of around 100,000 and nearly double in catchment, this bustling 260-bed regional hospital is undergoing extensive redevelopment at a cost of $324 million. This includes state-of-the-art facilities such as a regional cancer center, new Emergency Department, Rehabilitation Unit, Maternity and Pediatrics Unit, Dialysis Unit, and Learning and Development Centre, along with the consolidation of various outlying services into the main complex.
Requirements:
Must hold specialist registration with AHPRA in Emergency Medicine.
Candidates who hold the CCST will also be considered.
Candidates who hold the ACEM college assessment with a substantially comparable outcome.
