(GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.You willProvide direction to a specialist multidisciplinary team of alcohol and other drug and mental health professionalsMonitor clinical nursing staff capabilities and act in the role of preceptor and mentor to beginning practitionersProvide consultation from the discipline specific perspective of nursing to the other staff in AODSConduct formal and informal education for staff and provide professional education to consumers, non-government organisations and the communityAbout youTo be successful in this position you will require:A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalentRegistration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of AustraliaBe credentialed through the College of Mental Health Nurses (or be prepared to work towards a credential in Mental Health Nursing)A Masters or higher qualification within a relevant area is highly desirableEvidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis BTuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be requiredDeclaration of serious discipline history must be disclosedCriminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)Temporary full time (7 months with the possibility of extension)Base salary ranging from $5 081.10 - $5 516.60 per fortnightAbout UsThe Gold Coast Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (AODS) is a specialist service that provides a range of treatments for the severe and complex drug and alcohol individuals and families.
