Pharmacist

Family owned pharmacy located in Epping looking for a Full-Time Pharmacist. This is a highly valued position within our company that works directly with the owner and is tasked with the satisfactory operation of the pharmacy. This is an opportunity for someone who is a leader that is able to work with a friendly patient-centric team that have pride in our exceptional service to our patients. You will enjoy a unique but close knit pharmacy environment. 

You will be required to work 5 days per week on a roster basis which will include some Saturdays. Salary range $95,000-$120,000 per year, depending on experience. Very stable employment. Immediate start. We are seeking someone who wanting to stay with a close knit team for the long term, who is progressive and wishing to take the lead aiming to provide the best possible care for our patients, wanting to provide our pharmacy services and ensuring all matters are attended to. This role will work directly with the owner and will be an intricate part of the pharmacy operation. Attention to details and business acumen are highly valued. The candidate needs to be long term minded. Your commitment and willingness to progress forward, is the most important quality we are looking for. Onsite parking offered.

Please note candidates preferably will be experienced working with age care facilities. And this particular role will require operating dispensing equipment and all its associated systems.

Main tasks including

  • Dispense and supervise the dispensing and general pharmacy operation 
  • Check prescriptions
  • Answering calls or meet patients to counsel patients with the optimal and safe use of medication
  • Assist with customer service queries from the team
  • Process orders and assist in maintaining dispensary inventory
  • Oversee activities in the dispensary and stock room to ensure the smooth operation of the pharmacy
  • Oversea activities in general around the pharmacy to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the business
  • Full ownership of accurate stock management and reporting
  • Intimate knowledge of the dispensing equipment and its associated systems
  • Assisting other pharmacist within our group if required

The successful candidate will need to possess

  • Current AHPRA registration (must have)
  • Excellent communication skills, especially over the phone
  • Amazing patient service and people management skills
  • Understanding of age care facility requirements (preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Eagerness and initiative to be part of our team
  • Eye for detail and a level of accuracy suitable for the level of responsibility
  • Experienced in mentoring and leadership skills
  • Willingness to go the extra mile for the company, our staff and our patients
  • Ability to work well autonomously while understanding the responsibility and tasks
  • An enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn and succeed
