About the role

Council would love you to apply for this key environmental and public health role in our Environmental Services team if variety in your working life motivates you. The successful candidate will be active in and out of the office environment monitoring and ensuring public health in food shops, public swimming pools, skin penetration premises, administering approvals for caravan parks and manufactured home estates, investigating environmental pollution incidents and continually improving our procedures to improve efficiency and increase the enjoyment of our time at work. You will be joining Council at an exciting time with the strategic direction for the Environmental Services team being refreshed through a number of environmental strategies that are being prepared this financial year. Our community wants Council to be more active in environmental management and we are utilizing this public support to identify opportunities and motivate proactive change across our environmental functions. This position is located at Council's Grafton or Maclean Office, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future. A probation period applies to this position.
