About you: 

You will ideally have experience in the Government / Health administration or transferrable commercial or private sector experience that can be assimilated into a health space, including knowledge of governance and accountability structures, demonstrated high-level written communication and research skills to prepare and edit correspondence including briefs, ministerial responses, reports and other correspondence, using appropriate software applications and systems including the use of style guides, templates, and other corporate standards. You are confident to effectively consult and negotiate with senior management, clinicians, consultants, and key stakeholders and can manage a large workload whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy within identified milestones and timeframes.

Your opportunity: 

To provide strategic direction, leadership, and coordination of administrative services to meet the current and future clinical support needs to enable the Adult Acute Mental Health Inpatient service to meet their demands and challenges.

Your role: 

  • Provide high-quality, confidential, executive support to the Nursing Director of Mental Health & ATOD Services in a mature and professional manner which ensures the integrity and efficiency of the Office.
  • Maintain effective time management practices, coordinating diary appointments, managing, and prioritising correspondence, monitoring important issues, and ensuring the delivery of priority items.
  • Undertake investigation, research, and analysis of sensitive and confidential matters.
  • With minimal direction, source and collate information, draft, and coordinate the effective and timely management of briefings, submissions, Ministerial correspondence, and external correspondence for the Nursing Director of Mental Health & ATOD Services.
  • Provide efficient secretarial and logistical support to allocated committees, working groups, and events/functions.
