SURGICAL TECHNICIAN - PERMJoin our Surgical Team in the OR at Moab This position plays an essential role by assisting surgeons during operations and ensuring the operating room is sterile at all times. Scrub Techs must possess phenomenal efficiency and attention to detail with a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient safety. Our ideal candidate is a compassionate, critical thinker and is able to act effectively in emergencies.Due to the rural location of MRH, candidates must possess a comprehensive range of general scrub skills, including central sterile processing, and be able to adapt and learn without hesitancy. This is a full-time, year-round, benefited position.Schedule pattern: Scheduled week days, requires on call responsibilities, including rotating evenings, weekends, and holidays. Starting Pay Range: $22 - $31/hour, DOE.Anticipated start date: ASAPJob requirements:Current BLS CertificationAvailable to take average 8-10 call days per month (up to 14, depending on staffing levels), with 20-minute response time to hospitalExcellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniquesSolid understanding of patient safety and precautionsIn-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedures, preferredPrior experience as a scrub/surgical technologist, preferredExperience with central sterile processing, preferredA great team player with excellent communication skills including oral, written, and listening skillsCool tempered with emotional and physical stamina and able to respond effectively in stressful situations with changing circumstances1 year Surgical Tech experience, preferred but not requiredCertified Surgical Tech, preferred but not required
