About the opportunity

But what you might not realise is that we also provide support to several government departments including delivering health advice to The Department of Veterans’ Affairs. Our role is to support the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) to meet the Nation’s commitment to care for our veteran and defence service community - the people who have served Australia in times of war and conflict as well as peacetime.

About the role

The Health Advice Triage Officer is responsible for processing incoming and outgoing clinical advice requests to doctors and allied health professionals, populating templates, data entry and reviewing workflow practices to identify opportunities for improvement.

In this unique new role, you will:

· Assist in managing a group email box

· Data entry of clinical advice submissions

· Populating clinical advice request templates

· Record management of incoming/outgoing clinical advice submissions

· Liaising with business area stakeholders on submission of clinical advice requests

We’re looking for a Health Advice Triage Officers with the following:

· At least two years’ proven experience working in a health administration role or experience in a health related role (e.g. Allied Health Assistant, ADF medic, paramedic, enrolled nurse)

· Understanding of medical terminology

· Demonstrated ability to work in a customer service focus environment

· Solid Microsoft Suite capability, with a focus on Excel, and competence across a range of software

You must be an Australian Citizen with the ability and willingness to apply for a Federal Police Check to apply for this role.
