About the Role

We are looking for a Clinical Scrub Scout nurse to support our busy Orthopaedic &/or Plastics specialty theatres. The successful candidate will be joining a very supportive team where training will be provided.

Your Key Accountabilities

• Facilitate the smooth operation of the specialty scrub scout teams with a can-do attitude and a strong customer service focus
• Support all members of the nursing team, acting as a role model and resource person within the clinical area

Permanent part-time position for the right candidate.

Your Skills and Experience

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in an acute health care setting
• Extensive experience as a scrub scout nurse, with orthopaedics or plastics specialty experience
• Availability to work across a Monday – Friday roster. No weekend shifts!
• Advanced problem solving and negotiation skills with the ability to think critically and prioritise workloads
• Strong desire to successfully enhance team performance and experience
• Post graduate qualification in the appropriate specialty will be highly regarded

Remuneration

On offer is an hourly rate of $49.56 + superannuation based on qualifications and experience, exclusive of penalties and allowances.

About Our Hospital

Ramsay Surgical Centre Glenferrie specialises in providing care for private short-stay patients undergoing orthopaedic and specialist surgery. The hospital’s purpose-designed day stay area has 12 beds. There are a further 19 beds for patients requiring overnight care. Ramsay Surgical Centre Glenferrie is in Hawthorn diagonally opposite the Glenferrie Oval with plenty of parking. It is a 5 minute walk from Glenferrie Road which is serviced by trams and trains.

• Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
• According to the role, Ramsay may require aWorking-With-Children check andproof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
