HSE Advisor

Health, Safety & Environment (Mining, Resources & Energy)Reporting to the Head of HSEQR, you will be a motivated and experienced HSE Advisor with the ability to build honest relationships and effectively communicate with the team. You will provide robust health, safety and environmental support to various sites while having excellent decision making and planning skills that best support the interests of the company and our employees. You will be rewarded with a great work life balance, a strong and committed leadership team, an excellent remuneration package and the opportunity to take progressive steps forward in your career.Key responsibilities include:Develop high level and subsequent risk assessments contextualised to the site and ensure operational monitoring of controlsPartner with & coach site leadership teams in regards to HSEQ, compliance, and injury management mattersAssist operations to conduct quality investigations and help develop robust corrective & preventative actionsAdminister the WHSEQ framework, which is to include the development and presentation of training programs for management and workers.Collect statistical data that will contribute to meaningful H&S planningInfield safety observations with supervisory staffIn performing the role, the incumbent is required to actively:Demonstrate knowledge and ability to interpret various WHS legislation, Codes of Practice & Guidance materialDemonstrate knowledge and implementation of ISO 45001 safety initiatives.Demonstrate knowledge and implementation of ISO 9001 quality initiatives.Develop and promote safety awareness programs to encourage improved safety awareness throughout the organisation.Administer the WHSEQ framework, which is to include the development and presentation of training programs for management and workers.Monitor the progress and success of WHSEQ initiatives and KPI’s.To be successful in the role you will have:Essential3+ years’ experience within HSE or a related fieldCert IV Work Health and Safety ( as a minimum )Certificate IV in Training and AssessmentICAM InvestigatorCommunication - Ability to clearly and concisely engage with the workforce at all levels to deliver the desired HSE messagingKnowledge of the relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice and any other applicable standards that affect operationsAbility to work as part of a team to support operations.DesirableReturn to Work Coordinator CertificateAuditing Skills / QualificationsIf you are looking for your next challenge and want to contribute to a growing and successful business apply now by clicking the 'Apply' button below and submitting your resume.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a Health Safety and Environment Adviser?Have you worked in a role which requires a sound understanding of OH&S/WHS?What is your salary expectation?Report this job advert
