We are seeking a registered Allied Health Speech Pathologist who has a passion for Paediatrics and is eager to work within a highly professional multi-disciplinary team.

About the Role

The current opportunity is for a registered Speech Pathologist (new graduates are encouraged to apply) who has the ability and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with ECM’s team of clinicians and referrers. The successful applicant will be very diligent and highly responsive, always communicating effectively and professionally with clients, parents, and carers.

ECM practices are friendly, comfortable, confidential, culturally safe clinical practices with disabled access and excellent facilities for staff and clients. A great location, in walking distance to Beaumont Street, Hamilton and Hamilton train station.

ECM’s current Speech Pathology team includes that of 12 Speech Pathologists and 3 Allied Health Assistants, and we are looking to expand!

About the business

ECM is a private practice based in Hamilton, Newcastle. We are seeking registered Allied Health Professionals – Speech Pathologist – who has a passion for Paediatrics and eager to work within a highly professional multi-disciplinary team.

ECM is looking for new team members to provide evidence-based therapies with a multi-disciplinary approach towards outcomes.

ECM has three clinical practices on Hudson Street Hamilton, Unit 1 46 Hudson street accommodates for Occupational Therapist and Exercise Physiologist (OT), Unit 4 46 Hudson Street accommodates for Speech Pathologist and Unit 3 56 accommodates for Psychologist and Counsellors, and 1 clinic in North Mall, Rutherford which houses all 4 disciplines together.

ECM offers Psychological, Occupational, and Speech evidenced based interventions within the parameters of a primary care service. ECM multi-disciplinary team work closely with their clients and families in developing the most appropriate referral pathway in meeting their goals.

The ECM multi-disciplinary team has developed a reputation with our referrers who are confident that we will endeavour to prioritize our clients’ needs and supports, effectively and efficiently, meeting goals within a timely fashion. ECM receive referrals from a variety of sources, including general private practice, specialists, NGO’s, and NDIS, for people with a variety of needs. Whilst a majority of our client base is Paediatric and adolescence, ECM caters for the whole life span.

In addition to one on one therapies, ECM also offer a range of dynamic and effective group programs. We are currently expanding to include programs within preschools in and around Maitland and Hunter region.

ECM are working towards ‘paperless’ practices for all client records, utilizing Power diary management software, backed by Microsoft ECM SharePoint intranet and onsite cloud-based storage houses for all clinician’s pro-forma letters and reports. Power diary is an excellent practice management software system to ensure the ECM TEAM of clinicians can work anywhere -with security. ECM is managed by Power diary and Xero Accountancy recording all electronic and online billing and payment.
