Health, Safety & Environment (Construction)

Leading Commercial Tier 2 Builder seeks an experienced Safety, Quality & Environmental Advisor for a large Industrial project located in Sydney.
This established organisation has been operating for over 30 years, working across Australia on projects valued up to $250M.
Roles and Responsibilities will include:

  • Pre-starts, site safety walks & inspections
  • Assist in the preparation of health and safety plans
  • Ensure legislation is adhered to
  • Investigate and report on any incidents
  • Provide training to team members
  • Conduct reviews and risk analysis
  • Manage and develop relationships with employees and subcontractors
To be considered for the role: 
  • Minimum Cert IV in OH&S
  • 5+ years' experience in a Health & Safety role working for a head contractor 
  • Experience working on commercial projects 
  • Strong understanding of latest OH&S legislation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage deadline
  • Time management skills
  • Excellent communication & problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations, standards and codes of practice
  • Intermediate knowledge of ISO and OFSC management systems, Audit criteria and Building Codes
