(GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.You willProvide efficient, responsive and recovery-orientated mental health care in a variety of hospital and community settingsWork collaboratively with clinicians, multi-disciplinary staff, service providers and non-government organisationsContribute to the development of clinical practice procedures and protocols, for both the discipline and the multi-disciplinary teamSupervise, continuously develop and support staff and students within your specialty areaAbout youTo be successful in this position you will require:A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalentRegistration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of AustraliaBe credentialed through the College of Mental Health Nurses (or be prepared to work towards a credential in Mental Health Nursing)A Masters or higher qualification within a relevant area is highly desirableDriver LicenceEvidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Hepatitis BTuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be requiredDeclaration of serious discipline history must be disclosedCriminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)Base salary ranging from $66.85 - $72.58 per hourAbout UsThe Acute Care Team is the first point of contact for the Gold Coast Hospital Health Service, Mental Health Service to provide education, support, information, advice and referral.
