Lead Veterinarian Position Available at Flemington Veterinary Hospital

Are you a dedicated and passionate veterinarian seeking a leadership role in a state-of-the-art facility? Flemington Veterinary Hospital is on the lookout for a new lead vet to join our dynamic team.

About Us:

Flemington Veterinary Hospital is located in the inner North-West of Melbourne and has been providing veterinary services to the community since the 1980s. We are proud to be an ISFM accredited gold cat friendly practice, with dedicated spaces cat-only facilities.

We are committed to delivering exceptional care to our patients. Our purpose-built practice is very well equipped – with separate dog/cat/isolation wards, sterile surgical theatre, Idexx In-house laboratory (Procyte, SediVue, Catalyst), CR digital radiography, DR dental radiology, IM3 dental suite, VetTome, multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring, TonoPen and more.

We have a range of visiting professional interest practitioners, offering services such as ultrasounds, endoscopy, oncology, and orthopaedics in-house.

You will be working with our amazing team of 3 full time equivalent vets, 4 FTE nurses, a dedicated receptionist, and a practice manager. Meet our team here.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Willingness to learn, grow, and collaborate within a team-oriented environment.
  • A keen interest in developing their own skills but also the skills of our team.
  • The ability to work efficiently, both independently and as an integral part of our veterinary team.
  • Ambition and initiative to grow our practice.
  • BVSc or equivalent, and registration to practice in Australia with at least 3 years of experience
  • Previous experience in a leadership role is highly desirable but not essential. We are looking for the right candidate that can grow with us. Our lead vet will be supported by our highly experienced practice manager.
