The Royal Children's HospitalThis is a Fixed Term Full Time position at 1.0 EFT/ 76 hours per fortnight within the
General Medicine.You will be responsible for clinical and care coordination responsibilities, and will play a key role in a multidisciplinary team, including developmental paediatrics, child and adolescent psychiatry, social work, and specialist behaviour support practitioners. The role will report to the ISAID program clinical lead and will serve as the key contact and resource for staff and families in relation to patients with autism/ID and associated BOC.What you’ll achieve:Initial point of contact/intake for patients with BOC referred from the emergency department (ED), Specialist Clinics, and community paediatriciansSupport patients and families with ASD and/or ID and associated BOC to access appropriate and timely services, both within RCH and in the community (e.g. behavioural practitioners, schools)Deliver proactive, integrated highest quality care for patients and families presenting with BOC.Manage a complex and varied caseloadAssessment of family situations to determine appropriate referrals to, and coordination of, health and community services for identified patients (in collaboration with ISAID social workerClassification for this position will range from Clinical nurse Consultant A/B (ZF4-ZJ4)Your skills and experience:Tertiary qualifications in relevant disciplineCurrent registration with AHPRA (where professionally relevant)Eligibility for membership appropriate professional body (where professionally relevant)Demonstrated experience with the care and management of patients and families experiencing BOCIf this sounds like you, click
