The Facility: This is a 228-bed acute and extended care facility which provides surgical, medical, paediatric, obstetrics and gynaecology, intensive care and psychiatry services as well as extended care and regional services servicing a catchment population of around 90,000.
A high incidence of road accidents, skin cancer, farm injuries and work safety accidents occur in the region. Population numbers swell during the fruit harvest season when an estimated 10,000 itinerant workers from throughout Australia and overseas visit the region. Snake bites, cuts, scratches to the eyes from branches, injuries caused by falling from a fruit picking ladder and allergic reactions are among the most common conditions treated during the this period.
The Role: Fixed Term (6 months), Full Time - August 2024-Febraury 2025. The successful candidate will work closely with Senior Medical Oncologists to provide high quality, effective patient centred care. This is an exciting opportunity enabling the trainee to experience working across both public and private Oncology services. The Requirements: It is essential that you hold Registration with AHPRA and have experience in Geriatric Medicine or are eligible for registration via the CA pathway to work at Registrar level.
