Opened in 1977 the hospital was extensively redeveloped in 2002 with further rectification work in 2009 and is complemented by a setting of superbly designed gardens and outdoor areas
The hospital provides the following services: Day Procedure, Emergency, Intensive Care and High Dependency, Maternity, Medical, Outpatients, Paediatric, Special Care Nursery, Surgical and Mental Health, plus arrange of clinical support services. It is also accredited with the Australian Council of Healthcare Standards and has links to many external research organisations.
The Role: An exciting opportunity exists in the Northern Territory, for a Psychiatrist to join a small team of psychiatrists providing services to the community.
The Mental Health Services a catchment population of up to 80,000.
The Mental Health Service is a specialist service covering an area of 25,000 km. Mental Health Services offer the full range of public mental health services including a 12 bed inpatient acute unit, CAMHS, Adult and Aged Care Community Multidisciplinary Teams.
Requirements: Candidates must hold specialist registration with AHPRA in Psychiatry (FRANZCP).
Candidates who hold the CCST will also be considered.
