The Hospital: The hospital has recently enjoyed a major $408 Million overhaul and expansion doubling the number of beds to over 300 and increasing the size by 40,000m2 including a new Emergency Department. This is now a state of the art fully modern hospital and one of Australia’s largest regional healthcare facilities.
The hospital is also accredited for training with a number of the colleges and provides the following specialist services to the local community: ED, O&G, Paeds, Orthopaedics, Anaesthetics, ICU, Coronary care, Psychiatry, Aged Care, Renal Medicine, ENT, Ophthalmology, Palliative Care and Day Surgery.
The Role:
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity.
Total remuneration up to $500,000 depending on experience
The Clinical Director of Medicine will lead the department and provide expert clinical services for the General Medicine Unit within the Clinical Services Capability Framework for the facility.
The Clinical Director is also responsible for the provision of clinical and strategic leadership, continual monitoring and improvement of quality patient care as well as ensuring risk minimisation.
This position will be involved in the training and supervision of medical, midwifery and nursing staff as required.
The Requirements: You must hold the FRACP ideally with previous leadership experience.
